About us
Blake Anderson
Born in Winnipeg and a 30-year Charleswood resident, Blake sees a need for professional, organized, and honest contracting services in the residential and the light commercial jobs.
His goal is to fill the gap that exists for “small” jobs, as its is very difficult to find a cost-effective solution to hiring a general contractor.

Janine
With extensive experience in the construction industry since the late 90s, she began her career in tile at Olympia Tile, one of Canada’s oldest suppliers, working in the showroom and order desk for five years with the help of John Burgoyne. After a year at Ceratec Tile, she transitioned to construction, working at Home Depot as a flooring specialist and SAP superuser, later educating customers on tiling. Janine enjoyed the mandatory Home Depot University classes while working in the installs office and flooring department. She then worked at Marios Tile, working in their main showroom, and taught a class to women on how to do backsplashes. Years at McDiarmid Lumber (later McMunn and Yates) on the construction desk followed, then a stint at Ames. She later worked at Curtis Carpets as an expeditor project manager. In 2016, she decided to go into business with Al, handling material orders, appointments, and bookkeeping.
Outside of work, Janine enjoys gardening and knitting. She has seven dogs: Ozzie, a Norwegian Elkhound Sheepdog; Penny and Chewy, Pomeranian/American Eskimo mixes; their children Ted, Daisy, and Monty; and Porkchop, a tiny Pomeranian.
Al Toupin
For the past 30 years, Al has managed Toupin Tile, bringing decades of experience to the business. He began his career in the tile industry in the mid-1980s at Ames Tile and Stone, working at the shipping and order desk alongside John Burgoyne. In the early 1990s, Al followed John to Olympia, where he continued to hone his expertise until 2017, when he launched his own tile business. Throughout his career, Al has built strong relationships with contractors and remained active in the industry, most recently working with The Floor Show in 2024.
